After a two years marriage with the king of France, 16 years old Mary Stuart of Scotland decides to return to her homeland and claim the throne of England, occupied by her cousin Elizabeth I. Both a strong rivalry and a certain sisterhood burst between the two. In fact, they find themselves alone dealing with the future of a country in a world dominated by male power.
